MICROBLADING AFTERCARE

Fading in time is normal and may require a touch ups to maintain the appearance and enhance longevity. We customize our services to meet your unique wants and needs. Consultations are highly recommended and free.

Day of Treatment:

Gently blot your brows with a tissue every 15-20 mins for 1-2 hours or more as needed to remove any fluid.

​

Days 1 -10:

Wash daily to remove bacteria and buildup of fluid and oils.  Gently wash your eyebrows twice daily with distilled water and an anti-bacterial cleanser such as H2 Ocean or Cetaphil. With a very light touch gently cleanse your eyebrows.  To dry, gently pat them dry with a clean tissue or paper towel. Avoid use any cleansing product containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA) or exfoliates. 

Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment (Supplied in your Aftercare Kit) with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin.

Never apply to wet or damp skin. 

Failure to follow Aftercare instructions may result in loss of pigment, discoloration or infection. Remember that the colors will appear brighter/darker and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure and will soften as the healing process occurs. Results cannot be determined until healing is complete.

Touch ups must be done no sooner than 6 weeks, and no later than 8 weeks.

Please schedule your touch-up appointment the day of your procedure.

Important Reminders

• Use a fresh pillowcase

• Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away.

• Picking can cause scarring or loss of color

• No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks

• Keep your showers as short as possible for the 10 days

• Avoid exercise for one week

• Avoid Sweating for the first 10 days.

• Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.

• Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 10 days.

• Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days

• Avoid swimming and hot tubs for the first 10 days

• Avoid makeup including sunscreen on the area for first 10 days

• DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.

Approximate Daily Healing Schedule for Permanent Cosmetics Microbladed Eyebrows:

1-3 Days: Your brows are approximately 20-40% darker, bolder and more solid than your healed result due to oxidation of the pigment and the nature of the procedure. The skin is red and pigment has been deposited into the top layers of the skin, giving it a darker appearance. There may be minimal swelling. DON’T SCRATCH OR PICK!

3-10 Days: The top layers of skin will begin to shed and you may see a loss of color. This is normal! Your brows may begin to itch and the pigment may appear somewhat raised. DON’T SCRATCH OR PICK!

10+ Days: The skin is now exfoliating and will shed if left alone. The color may appear light as you are still healing. Don’t critique your brows yet, and DON’T SCRATCH OR PICK!

6-8 Weeks: Now is the time to critique your brows. Some of the strokes may have faded, this is part of the healing process. AND, now you can scratch or pick, but we don’t recommend it!!

EYELASH EXTENSION AFTERCARE

• Avoid getting your lashes wet for 24 hours, (washing your face, sauna, swimming).

• Avoid being exposed to high heat.

• The following will damage your extensions - waterproof mascara, oil-based makeup and products, and an eye-lash curler.

• Avoid pulling, picking, and rubbing eyes.

• Cleanse your lashes with a water-base (oil-free) eyelash extension cleanser with a soft bristle makeup brush.

• Comb lashes with a clean mascara wand, daily and after cleansing your lashes.

• If desired, you can protect and prolong your extensions by using a lash extension sealant if you have one. 

PERMANENT EYELINER AFTERCARE

• Cold packs have been shown to make a noticeable difference in reducing swelling, use several times for a minimum of 10 minutes.

• Do not wear contact lenses for 24 hours

• Lubricating eye drops may be used if needed

• Apply a thin amount of aftercare ointment during the healing time (7-10 days)

• With clean hands, gently wash the area with your fingertips

• Do not pick, pull, or scratch while healing

• Keep eye area as dry as possible for 2 weeks

• No mascara or eye make-up during healing time (7-10 days), a new tube of mascara is recommended

• No eyelash extensions, lash tinting or perming, & eyelash curler for 2 weeks. (We provide these services, make an appointment before you leave)

• Protect your eyes from the sun while healing. (Approx. 2 weeks)

• Avoid use of anti-aging products containing acids, lighteners, and exfoliates on permanent makeup to avoid premature fading

SPRAY TAN AFTERCARE

• Avoid showering/bathing/getting wet for at least 8 hours, no more than 24 hours. Once your tan has developed fully, rinse in the shower until the water runs clear. You may wash your hair as normal, but be aware that any harsh facial cleansers/products or body loofahs/scrubs/products will remove the tan prematurely and cause uneven fading, so wash gently with hands if desired.

• Moisturize with a scent and oil-free lotion at least 1-2 times per day after your first rinse and every shower after that to promote an evenly fading tan.

• Avoid any activities that will induce sweating until you rinse for the first time, but be aware that partaking in said activities, even after your first rinse, will cause the tan to fade prematurely and, possibly, unevenly

• Be aware that hands, feet, and the face fade first; legs will fade last.

Avoid oil-based lotions/makeup/creams/etc., any treatments that contain harsh chemicals, acids, or peroxides, exfoliating treatments/loofahs/towels/gloves/etc., chlorine, or activities that induce immense sweating. All of these can be contributors to a tan fading prematurely and unevenly. Avoid manicures and pedicures, try to have these services done prior to your appointment.
